Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 overheating rumors completely debunked...

"When there's smoke, there's fire". While it could possibly be a marketing ploy by detractors, I am still cautious that there is an ounce of truth here, knowing the long standing history of Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.

It's called research and development what tech doesn't have issues in the beginning until they fine tune and find how to make it operate at optimal levels w/o hiccups

This has all kicked off from one review.

I could set up my own domain reallyreallygoodandroidreviews.com and then just slag them off too and reap the clickbait rewards.

HTC needs to sort this problem and lift the embargo asap

It's just Samsung back to there old tricks I'd just take the overheating rumors with a pinch of salt

Please tell me why Samsung would care about HTC? HTC as far as sales are concerned have NEVER been a threat to Samsung. The M7 and M8 have not sold well. Especially in the case of the M7. Samsung is all about Apple. I think blaming this on Samsung is utter nonsense.

Exactly. Samsung could care less about HTC.

Recognition! You never know what can happen if HTC can continue to win awards and move forward it's not good for Samsung. You know what continue to underestimate the under dog like Apple did with Google and now what.

Based on the article in the OP, their assessment is that anyone that is a direct competitor to Samsung is currently considered a threat due to their declining sales the past few quarters. The M9 uses the 810 processor, so it's another good opportunity to re-hash the over heating FUD.

With this uh oh program things are surely going to be interesting. I would love for HTC to have a proper marketing team, kind of like the one that Apple has, man oh man it would be impressive to see what happen but anyway we shall see how this turns out.

Exactly! People are now playing the blame game over this? I think HTC just missed a big opportunity with the M9. I don't see why people have to blame Samsung for this. Sure Samsung did pay people to give their phones good reviews, but that doesn't mean Samsung is the blame for everything. If anything, HTC needs to step their own game up, the M9 is not comparable to any of the new flagship phones out now

- Why not put a QHD screen when other flagships are doing it
- Why not put Optical Image Stabilization in their back camera? (or if it does have it, its not really good)
- Why not change the design of their phone?
- Why not try and fix their camera for low light?
- Why not at least do something different, think outside the box

I don't believe Samsung is all to blame or that HTC are perfect but c'mon Samsung dose have some part init.. and yea I agree HTC do have to up there game abit but I think this overheating issue is mostly bull. All soc need work because they all need fine tuning be for the final product but it carnt be that bad now or HTC would of just opted for the older 805

If it is not broken don't fix it as far as design and they have change some things in the design. No one knows what that camera can do yet. The t4ka7 sensor is brand new we shall see what happen with that.
How did Sammy think outside the box? isn't the S6 a collaboration of the nexus 4 and iPhone6? I don't understand? I mean hey I guess I missed something about being original. Whatever

A double curved phone is not thinking outside the box? Samsung always implements new ideas into their phones, whether they are fails or appreciated. Obviously, this one was a big hit

LG even thinks outside the box with the LG Flex, and their "unscratchable" back cover

HTC tried Ultrapixels...that failed.....they need to be more creative

HAHA yeah, they also tried boomsound speakers and they failed too!!........... oh wait

They also tried a full metal frame and that failed too!!....... oh wait

They also tried out their HTC Sense and that fai..... waaaait a minute....

It's not a failure they have relocated it to the front but we shall see how that works out. Sammy just throws junk at people like that whole eye movement thing made no sense more bloat for no reason. Me I love my front facing speakers I love how sense is smooth w/o hiccups. I hope this sensor from Toshiba works out great for them cause I am not a camera person. I take my Nikon out if I want to take pictures. But the speakers I use.

Samsung hasn't innovated in years. The new galaxy is a mash up of iPhone and htc one. Aluminum body with glass panels. They ditched the removable memory, battery and waterproofing. I think it's innovative marketing that you take features away and call it progress and people still buy it.

The only thing HTC has going for them with the M9 is the Sense UI and Dolby Speakers (which are probably useless without headphones). Their camera was decent in the M8, but seems to have fallen short in the M9. And yes, I am still stuck on the lack of a QHD screen, and even with their 1080p screen, the battery life is still not great according to some reviews

HTC was the design champs last year, but I think Samsung has surpassed them this year with the S6

I think Samsung made a mistake on removing the MicroSD and removable battery, but they seemed to have made up for those with other things
