Question about APPS showing as running under battery use.

So, i am using Advanced Task Killer and it seems to have improved my battery life. So, i use it and it kills Sprint NAV. and Maps, testing them out). I then go to the Battery use setting and I see that they are still there. What gives. I need to maximize this battery life until a better one comes along. Thanks much!

Do you mean the apps shown under Settings -> About Phone -> Battery use? If so, there is a simple explanation. That utility displays cumulative battery use "since unplugged." That will include apps that are not running now, but were running during that period.
