Question about non-lit Wifi and Radio Signal

So I normally just use 3G at work, barely getting any bars

I flash the official 4.0.4 radios and suddenly notice improved signal

Figured I would try my hand at the wifi which used to not connect at all

I'm able to get a strong connection now but for some reason, my wifi signal is dull, my 3g signal is dull as well (they are at nearly full bars but there is no color to them)

The speed is incredible too on my wifi, 30mbps down and up!

Is it because I'm on an unprotected router? glitch with the new radios?

It's hard for me to say what I used to get at work as I said earlier, I could never connect

FWIW, when connected at home, I get the blue hue to my wifi and radio symbols

Thoughts?

I the blue color means Google was unable to login your device with their servers. The wifi your using may have something blocked preventing the Google sync.

you mean grey. Blue means you are connected to google's servers. I just open up the play store if I ever see grey and it turns blue again.

Yup that must be it, I'm on a router with lots of restrictions
