Question about power cords

I am considering getting a HTC Shift for my next upgrade in May and I was wondering about the power cords. I now have a Palm Pre and I have learned the hard way that not all power cords are created equal. It takes a lot of juice to run the Pre properly and I was wondering if I could use the cords from the Pre for the HTC Shift?

Yes you can without a problem. I use my pre stuff with my Evo and Evo shift.

The only real issue with the pre was the touchstone. It needed 1 amp continously to maintain charging. I havnt ran into that kinda problem with any other phone. You could charge the pre with any charger as long as you weren't using the touchstone.
