Question About Removal of Chrome Browser from LG L34C Fuel
Greetings to all!
I am quite computer literate, but a BRAND NEWBIE when it comes to smart phone technology, so please forgive me for asking what may appear to be a slew of "yeah - DUH" questions.
I got my very first smart phone today! I know the Android O/S was developed by Google and so I am concerned about removing the Chrome browser from it for fear of screwing the whole works up. I do not like Chrome at all anymore after I discovered just how insecure of a browser it is and that Google is taking no definitive steps to correct the issue (providing the option to disable WebRTC - although this is not supposed to be an issue impacting Android YET).
To this end, I plan to replace Chrome with Firefox as the default browser and since I have no intention of using Chrome EVER, removing it from the rather limited on board memory available - IF I am not going to create greater problems by doing so!
So enlighten me, oh knowledgeable ones! May I remove Chrome safely and replace it with Firefox OR will I be better off just allowing it to get dusty in some remote corner of on board memory?
Thanks!
