Question for all Nexus 4 owners

...
guaranteed updates for at least two years.
...

Nexus One & S had closer to 18 months of official updates...hopefully though Google will up it to 2yrs for the dual-core GNex giving it a chance to receive KLP & 2.5yrs for the N4 since it's a quad-core.
Nothing guaranteed though.

I really love my Nexus 4 enough that I'm considering skipping the Nexus 5 (or whatever the next Nexus phone is called). Even though I have the 8GB Nexus 4, I find that I don't need more space, and unless the next phone has something to knock my socks off (just having LTE won't be enough), I may just stick with my N4. But the bottom line is that the N4 is a powerful enough device to be capable of receiving Android updates for at least 2 years to come, and probably more.

I should reword my post. 2 years wasn't a good word choice but you should have problem getting 4.3 and klp whenever that comes out at least. With the N4's hardware I don't see that being a problem like they ran into with the nexus one (officially even though the devs got it running easily).

i don't know the specs on the lg you mentioned but if i were to choose between a nexus 4 with another lg.... it would be the optimus g.

you have practically the same hardware except with the addition of LTE and i think micro sd slot.

i would just wait a couple of weeks and see if the rumored 32gb nexus 4 LTE is real and go with that... LTE and pure android 4.3 sounds like the way to go.
