The difference is not big enough to matter much IMO. I say that as a former Verizon customer and current T-Mobile customer.
It is noticeable, but not significant.
And how is the speed benefitting you? Are you REALLY seeing any difference between 12mb/sec and 25mb /sec? For me the difference is virtually nonexistent.
Most files on the smartphone are going to be far smaller than on your PC. So download speeds do not matter as much beyond a certain point. Ping times are the same for me on both services. The only difference is download speed, which you will not notice at all on a 5MB app or streaming an MP3 or video. There are very few situations where I would miss the higher speeds.
Hell, even the difference between Verizon LTE and HSPA+ was not all that big IMO.

Come on dude. It completely depends on where you live. If you aren't in a fairly major urban area, Verizon might have great LTE coverage while T-Mobile has nothing but edge.
In many urban areas your statement is generally correct though.
Sent from my Nexus 5
To ME, there's no way the Moto X is worth that much more than the Nexus 5. Everytime I go to the store and see one I'm a little dissapointed in the plastic bezel and plastic trim. ...it just doesn't look so high-quality to me. To me, the Nexus 5 looks way higher-end.There just isn't any way I can see based on the components, features or style that makes the Moto X worth $170 more than the Nexus 5. Google sells both the Nexus 5 and Moto X. The Nexus 5 has higher performance components, bigger screen, more pixels per inch and is one phone model that works on all but Verizon's network unlike the Moto X than has 5 models for cell radio if you decide you want to switch service providers for what every reason. The Moto X has one feature I want with the "Ok Google" that works on the lock screen but it is missing the wireless Qi charging feature on Moto X that I value equally that the Nexus 5 supports out of the box.
With the Nexus 5 costing $349 for the base unit the Moto X would have to cost no more than $275 for me to pick it over the Nexus 5 based on value in my opinion. If anyone wants the Moto X they should buy it on CyperMonday at a price that only matches the lower priced Nexus 5 for one day.

Motorola has ALWAYS offered exceedingly high quality products, even when they were just making "beepers". Why should their flagship smartphone be any different? Quality is something I take for granted when I hear the name Motorola. In fact, it may even be listed as a synonym.

Not sure which stance you're deciding on here
