(question)optimus v on verizon

So lately I been thinking about this verizon prepaid 50 dollar plan. I see some have flashed their android phones over and get 3g. Anyone have any luck with the optimus v yet? I'm looking at the samsung u360 as a donor since it's the cheapest phone they have and it's supposedly got 3g capabilities.
Eventually I'll figure it out and post a guide some where just don't want to spend 75 dollars plus tax to find out I don't have 3g.

Edit: and I think there's a guide on xda to do the mod.

Found it thanks. It doesnt confirm the prepaid though but is a good start once i get it up and going
