Question regarding stock messaging app

So, in order to play around with Bixby, I've changed my default texting to the stock Samsung messaging app.

My question is, does it have the ability to mute group conversations? I have some friends who start texting a full on conversation and they always do it when I'm in the middle of a meeting at work and my phone is blowing up.

That's a deal breaker for me if it isn't an option. I'll go back to Verizon Messaging +

Goto Group text/conversation

Click 3 bar/hamburger/settings whatever it's called

Side menu should open

Click Notification at the bottom of the side menu. Notification should have the bell with a line through it to mute.

(I don't use this but I assume this mutes the whole conversation)

IMHO, that's stupid of Samsung to not have that as a long press option.
