You did and it does.
Under Home button LED, Missed event you have to select messaging.

Like any other screen...it's dull but legible I haven't had a problem playing games..

I had a question...does the ATT G Pro have the value pack update yet? I don't think it does.

I do have that checked, but it seems it just won't work with handcent sms, that stinks

my optimus g pro uses alot of the 2 gb ram mem...most of the time i have 1gb to 400mb free only..what uses all the ram and is this normal ..im only asking because my note 2 used well less than 1 gb of ram.

Is there any way to prevent it from turning the screen on when you receive a text message? I think I've gone through all the settings but maybe I missed something. The only way I've been able to keep it from turning the screen on its to completely disable messaging notifications but that isn't really a good solution.

i dont see an option to disable thta on the stock message app..i use gosms pro n i have the option to not have the screen turn on when gettn new messages..

btw how much ram mem does your phone use on average?

I'll probably have to look for a 3rd party app then. As far as ram, mine usually sits at about 1.5 gb used, even when I have almost no apps running. Phone still runs extremely smooth though so I'm not worrying about it too much.

I second that-- it performs slightly better than its competitors, but not by much. It's perfectly legible but noticeably washed out.

This is consistent with what I've seen-- it's hard to tell what's using all of that RAM (likely the Optimus UI), though I never noticed a slowdown despite how low my available RAM got.

How do you change the lock screen shortcuts? Everything I can find says that there should be a setting for clocks and shortcuts under the lock screen settings but I don't have that option.

Is there a way to remove the Apps icon from the shortcuts at the bottom of the screen? Had the phone a few days now and love how fast it is, still finding out all the things it can do. My wife graduated this weekend and I used it for photo's and video and I have been very impressed with the quality of both.

I believe there is an option for that within the app under settings>notifications

It's got the pop up and preview settings as well as disabling all notifications but nothing specific to the screen.

Again...I don't have a "shortcuts" option under the lockscreen settings! Does anyone know why that would be? This is an AT&T Optimus G Pro and I even found a tutorial on their website that says the same thing, but the setting doesn't exist in my phone...
