Again...I don't have a "shortcuts" option under the lockscreen settings! Does anyone know why that would be? This is an AT&T Optimus G Pro and I even found a tutorial on their website that says the same thing, but the setting doesn't exist in my phone...

I figured it out.

I had the "Select Screen Lock" set to Pin and it removes the option to set the clocks and shortcuts when you have it set that way apparently. I set it to swipe and bang, there it is. Weird....

Has anyone been able to get video out working using a MHL cable? Mine isn't working. The cable works on my htc one, but not the pro.

According to this website it doesn't support mhl.. Only wireless connections like DLNA...sad

I just wanted to add that the PRO does support video out via a SlimPort adapter.

How is the screen brightness? I noticed in the ATT store they had it on 100% and when I put it on auto brightness and put it on 50% is seems dark, too dark and my S4 is on the same settings yet seems super bright. I really wanted the OG Pro but the concern was battery life and support.

I do have to keep it higher than my S4. I keep it at 70%, and auto brightness checked. Haven't noticed any degradation in battery life. Btw- the phone charges very quickly. Hopefully LG will offer spare batteries here soon..

Yeah I know we talked about that and mine is still darker % wise than other phones. But like someone mentioned hasn't affected battery life. Keep mine on 65%.

Thanks guys. I find it odd that it has to be set higher but if it isn't killing the battery life then that's ok. I really want this phone for the bigger screen and .5" does make a difference which for me is odd. Still trying to weigh the options.

You guys don't lock your phones with some type of passcode.
I could never use swipe to unlock.

No problem. Its a tough decision. Great to have choices of really great phones. I am rooted and tried to push the Htc One TV app to the phone (figured it wouldn't work too tied into Sense) but it was a no go. Using the Tv guide app in the play store to substitute

The lack of MHL support has been my only disappointment. You'll love the phone. It is surprisingly easy hold. I have the HTC one, s4, and the pro (I have a tough choice on which one to return). My wife has the note 2, now she wants my pro over the note 2.

How is the G Pro better in performance than the S4 when their tech specs are the same? Unless they are running different GPUs ..but most current high tech smartphones are running the Adreno 320 GPU with the Snapdragon 600 CPU..the S4 and G Pro are at the same clock speed for CPU, with only the HTC One being clocked a bit higher.

So if anything I would expect the S4 to be a tiny tad faster than the G Pro due to the smaller screen than the G Pro.

But my question is how does the home button feel to touch? I hear its sorta pain due to its size and how high it sits up.

Samsung has alot of software features that slow their phones down. It doesnt matter on the cpu speeds as much now. They put time delays into their actions like pressing the home button because of s voice.

In my opinion the lg optimus g and the g pro have the snappiest ui out of any phone.
