Quick root and custom ROM question...last n00b question of the day I promise

I have seen conflicting answers after quite a while of searching.

When coming from a stock ROM can I ODIN CWMR then just install a custom ROM? Then I'm all done, rooted with custom ROM?

Or, do I need to ODIN CWMR then apply the superuser zip, busybox zip, etc. Then apply a custom ROM.

Sorry for all the questions, it is quite a bit different than working with the Incredible.

For example, if I am looking to start off keeping the stock kernel and modem and just install the debloated/de-binged ED01 ROM from....would it be possible to just ODIN CWMR and install the zip for that ROM.

You can ODIN CWM and flash the debloated/debinged ROM and you will be all set. The ROM is already rooted, so no need to flash the su + busybox file. Same thing with Community ROM. When you are ready to flash and try that ROM, it is also pre-rooted.
