Quick Video Recorder - video won't play

Hi,
I have installed the above for front and rear camera video recording on my LG8.
I recorded a video on front camera but the battery died during recording.
The resulting 0.97GB video shows as 'Cannot play video - This file type not supported.'
Other videos will play so I'm thinking the problem is due to the power running out during recording.
I exported file to laptop to try different players - vlc, BSplayer, realtime etc - with not luck. The BS Player directs to intall a codec, which then doesn't install.
Is there any way to play the video?

The file is damaged hence it will not play. There are PC utilities that can repair damaged video files so I suggest you explore this using Google
