Not to pick nits, but cars can legally go through yellow lights (at least in the U.S.). If it goes through a yellow light and almost hits you, then you must have entered the crosswalk on a "don't walk" signal and you should be taking a selfie to identify the offending party.
Not to pic nits, but a pedestrian in the US has the right of way at ALL times regardless of what the traffic light said and if you're one of the fools that goes through a yellow and is not willing to slow down for a pedestrian in a cross walk, then this feature should be used on people like you.
Here is a hint from someone who drives for a living and does about 300k miles per year in local traffic and has 0 accidents on my record...
You are not as important as you think.
Drive cautiously at all times and let others have the right of way even if you are supposed to be the one who goes first.
The more you are late, the slower you drive or be prepared for a ticket or an accident.
Bicycles and pedestrians are always more important then you, having a death by your neglectful driving habits will effect your life and your driving record.
Having an accident at over 25 miles per hour increases a pedestrian fatality by 100 times.
Lights or right of way means nothing when the person you hit is now in a wheelchair, so slow down.
The road you drive on is not yours, so be careful and save for everyone's sake.
I could go on but I'm not here to argue. I just don't want to hear that you got into an accident and now can't enjoy your new phone because you're in the hospital.
Drive safe.
