Radioshack Employee here, taking questions about Pre Order/Buying Process

Is RS offering a one year contract price?

Also how much is the two year service plan ?

Sorry if these have been answered I searched the thread and didn't see it.

1. No

2. It should be 124.99 (unless they change the price for the evo)

I just went down to my local RS today and did the preorder. Any chance that the phones will come in a little early? Say by June 1st?

Just wonderin'....:D

Shack POS systems can (and most def will) deny SKU's to be sold until certain dates.

They do this from time to time on sensitive items.

Radioshack would never risk breaching contract with sprint (largest wireless carrier in these parts) by releasing early. And the computers will not allow such things to happen.

Sprint too can disallow ESN's from being activated early. (Same way they can say certain plan types are not allowed on the EVO)

Not exactly sure this is possible, but with the $10 from the survey and the $20 accessory credit, you could walk out with $40 worth in accessories for $10.

I dont think you can get that $10 credit since it's phone order, which is exception

I've gone to the two RS's that are in my area. Neither had any idea what I was talking about. This is the first time I've tried to preorder from a third-party retailer. Is this normal?

It makes me think twice about doing a preorder.

First you need to make sure its a Corporate Radioshack. Franchise stores just give us a bad name at times.

Second make sure they actually sell Sprint. (Not all do)

Third, if you're at this part and they dont know what you're talking about.. well.. they need fired. That simple. No excuses at that point. Those stores are losing big time dollars, the employees are losing comission opportunities and they are hurting Radioshacks image. (fragile thing as it is)

Not sure if they were corporate stores; but, they both sold Sprint. As for no excuses - especially with a rollout as anticipated as this - I agree completely. They were clueless about RS's cell biz in general.

No, no. Your misunderstanding the wording on the coupon. When it says phone orders, it means orders placed by phone call. Not phone purchases. I use $10 off coupons all the time on phone sales, I used one today.

That is inexcusable. Call 1-800-the-shack and report them, im serious. There is no way they should get away with that.

That's embarrassing. Thank you so much for clarification there. So, FinalJ, you were saying i can use my current receipt($50 gift card as deposit of pre-order) to do survey to have that $10 credit? or I have to wait for the release date to get that $10

Yep, you can definitely use your pre order receipt to get the coupon, and you can definitely use the coupon when you buy the phone. :)

Thank you for that. I just did, and had my coupon print. One question to ask, noticed it mentioned that coupon cannot be combined with another discount, does that mean i should buy 2 separate things to use $20 and $10 credit?

The $20 acc credit will be automatic and separate, we don't consider it a coupon. The $10 coupon can be used with it in the same purchase.

The fine print just means that it cant be used with other coupons, you cant combine it with a coupon mailed to you in a flier, for example.
