RAM question?

Just wondering why the Rezound is spec'd at 1gb of ram but the stock task manager lists the total ram at only 817mb? Can anyone shed some light on why? It kinda irks me cuz I'm not really not gaining much more ram at any given moment than was available on my DX which had 512mb?

The OS itself + HTC Sense is using the rest.
You have 817 MB free after that.
