Was looking at Device Care, Memory shows its set on 4 Ram, is that what it should be set on?

That is setting for Ram Plus. This is a page file in device storage that augments actual Ram. It can be set to values from 4-8 GB. This is similar to most modern computer operating systems. A page file let's the device think it has more real Ram than it actually has. A page file can allow for additional apps to remain in memory but is never as fast as real memory.
I have a 1TB S22U so I set it to 8 GB ( since I have plenty of storage). The page file reduces the amount of storage space by the amount you set so there is a trade off.

Yeah, I see I can set it at 6 and 8.
I have a 512, I guess 4 is ok.
All that is over my head.
Lol
Thanks

I set mine to 8 just because I have the 256 version and know I won’t use all thet space. I wonder if it will make a difference.

With 12gb of ram I don't think I need any page memory at all, especially if it slows down the phone?

My thoughts as well. If you're running out of ram at 12 GB, then it's almost certain a bug or something. Android mandates memory well, and no one is that much of a power user.

IS this a new setting in the Galaxy UI 4, or android 12? I don’t recall it before and wonder if one is used to 8GB and now has 12GB built in RAM, why would one really ever need to turn it on?
