I have seen a lot of weird "glitches" where someone rooted their phone and 3g just randomly started working. I thought it was a joke until it happened to my brother. He just got a brand new phone and didn't activate or pay the bill and rooted it and 3g started working?! Has anybody else had this very helpful "glitch"?!
