Random intermittent notification sound on the Note 10+

Has anyone experienced the following?

I've got the Note 10+. Every so often (about 2-3 times per hour), I hear a notification sound, but there is no actual notification. I've also checked for records of notifications via the settings menu, as well as "Nice Catch" on Good Lock. I'm unable to identify the source of these notification sounds.

It's a minor issue, but would be very good to be able to fix this. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Double check your web browser , any tabs open giving a notification

Curious as well. My wife said to me she loves her phone but it just "sings" to her randomly all day, but no notification to show what it is. n

I agree with Javier P, the first thing to check is if it goes away when NFC is off. If you have a wallet-style case with credit cards or other cards with an NFC chip, the phone may detect them and give you the NFC tone.

Bixby routines makes notification sounds when something is triggered. I hear it all the time as I'm getting to or leaving work as I have it set by location

I think something is up with the s-pen. I first noticed it when using Google maps and the map would minimize out of nowhere. Then the same thing started happening with YouTube. This would only happen in landscape. There would be a slight vibration and notification. Nice Catch says it's the S-Pen. I hope it's not a hardware problem.

I do. But this will happen even when the phone is sitting on a table with no NFC devices around.

Yup, it's in the phone.

Last night I tried clearing the cache partitions. Let's see if that fixes the issue.

I found an almost embarassingly simple solution:

Settings -> Accessibility -> Advanced Settings -> Notification Reminders -> Turn Off

Apparently this is a setting which will (by default) sound the notification chime every 3 minutes when there is an unaddressed notification. So that's 20 times per hour, as opposed to the 3 I was noticing.

I have no idea why anyone would want this. But if you're hearing notifications randomly, this is why it is happening and how you can turn it off.

Thanks Arunma. I had deducted it was related to unviewed notifications, but was too lazy to research how to fix it.

Oh I was lazy too. But this thing was driving me crazy by prompting me to pick up my phone every few minutes for no reason. Madness is a good motivator.

My Note 10 Plus just started "Beeping" every 30 seconds or so, four beeps. Very annoying. I cannot turn the sound off, as I am on call for work and must listen 24/7 for job assignments. I went through every application and turned off all notifications except for two apps > Phone and > Jobulator. I cannot turn off the notifications for the System apps though. I checked everything. S-Pen is inside the phone correctly. NFC off. There are no Notifications at all, just this annoying "Beeping" several times every minute.

When I restarted my Note 10 Plus, it's back to normal now !!! Hopefully just a temporary glitch.
