Hi guys, I am currently using Dante Rom found here

http://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=170067

[ROM][ZVJ] 2.3.3 DanteRom v2.5 [UPDATE] 08/12/2012

And I keep getting random los, I have tried toggling WiFi, airplane mode, data, reinstalls, and it still happens (although toggling airplane mode fixes it for a few mins). it will still show that I have bars in my status bar, but the phone acts as if i have no service, it even happens with WiFi. Can anyone help me out here, I like this Rom but this is getting really annoying.

Well if you have poor service it could be several things. I would backup and try stock or another stock variant. If that fixes your issue, good for you! Let me know and I will try and find the cause and fix it. Other than that, if you haven't try updating your prl and profile. I am getting no other reports of issues like that from Dante users. But if it is as I suspect, your radios might be failing. Or perhaps at least your cell service might be related to sprint performing tower upgrades in your area.

Check this website to see if there are any tower upgrades being performed / on schedule in your area: http://network.sprint.com

You could also probably just call them and see if there are any issues on their end.

The random reboots thing doesn't seem like it's a signal problem though.

I see you only have 4 posts, are you new to flashing / rooting / ROMing? It's possible that if this is a fresh install, you might have just missed a step during flashing too.

Just tried a new install and wiped everything but SD-ext and sdcard, flashed your Rom, flashed hydrokernel, flashed amphedamines..... ended up with no service at all lol, the signal meter was all gray, and had a little x beside it (turn phone onto airplane mode, replace airplane w/ x, that's what it looked like) this happens with hydro Rom too, if that helps
Oh, and btw, i already have the zvj patch on.

Forgot to add in reply, but on the first install I used Xonia, on the reinstall I used cannibal open touch.

Wait, what baseband are you on? If already on zvj why flash that zip. If not you have to reflash the baseband mod every time you wipe and reflash a ROM. Also are you using a a2sd mod? There is a reason I do not support ons as for me they never quite work right.

Also what methods are you following to wipe prior to flashing and what recovery too.

Oh, that's it, I was on zvd and I flashed the zvj patch on a different Rom, then flashed your Rom without re-flashing, ill go do that now and get right back :-)

Putting this in a quote so it pops up in it stat bar, lol
Ok, so I flashed the patch with your Rom and the order was
ROM, hydrokernel, anphedamines, patch
And when I reboot it had data, so that was fixed, but the random los is still there...

I get that too. I have to toggle either airplane mode, or reboot the phone. It does get annoying. I have Dante Rom v2. I plan on flashing the latest version right now, so hopefully it will be fixed. I'm only with this phone for another month before I get the Galaxy Note 2.
