Random Reboots

Howdy…

I am wondering if anyone has been experiencing random reboots/restarts with their Nexus 6? It started happening over the last few months. First, under Marshmallow and now under Nougat as well.

I haven't been able to notice any common action that triggers the reboot. It has happened with the phone in my pocket and the other day it happened while I was on a call.

Under both of those OS releases, the phone was wiped/reset trying to resolve the problem. Since the problem has persisted, I am thinking it is a hardware issue.

I am on T-Mobile.

Your phone is obviously different than mine and that can make all this irrelevant, but I suspect there are some issues in common, too. You might skim through this thread:

Are you on standard Nougat or the Beta? I've had several of these restarts on my 6P and only happened after having 7.1.1. from the Beta program.

I am currently on NBD90Z. I joined the beta program to get Nougat then left the program. I hadn't received any updates and I noticed newer versions available so today I signed back up with the beta program. Although, I did have this problem with Android 6 Marshmallow but it seems to be happening a bit more frequently with 7.

Another questions, has anyone ever heard about a flakey SIM causing such problems? I figure that is a longshot but I wanted to ask.

Never, but what do I know? Some have referenced SD cards, but don't recall a flaky sim
