random resetting / restarting when just laying around. fixes?

I just picked up my tab two weeks ago. what i'm noticing is that it sometimes restarts on its own when its just sitting around on my table and once when getting home i pulled off my messenger back and while sitting i heard the samsung intro noises and opened it and it was restarting. i would figure the second one could have been some fluke while on my bicycle but the first. made no sense. anyone else having this problem or have any suggestions to avoid this? thanks for any insights.

I have the same issue. I took back the first tablet I had because of this random restarting and now the second one is acting up. I too would like to know if there is a fix? I am surprised that I do not see more posts about this problem?

I also have an issue with the rear camera while using Tango ....... other than that I really like the tablet.

the rear camera on mine also doesn't like to work when using tango, its really kinda annoying I use the app often when talking to my parents in Texas. When ever I use it, it zooms way in and had a bunch of grid lines everywhere. Is that the same with yours?

mine is still doing it about once every few days. i'll hear it startup when i'm biking home or when its sitting in my bag at work. it has yet to restart when i'm using it so thats positive as i've been using my apple bluetooth with it (which autoconnects) for blogging a lot. anyhow, thank architect. still happening to you or any others? hoping the ice cream sandwich update in a month or two will resolve this issue (and maybe allow me to get my usa today app on it)

Do you guys with the restarting/rebooting issues have an SD card installed? I've heard that this may be the culprit. I've heard of trying to reformat the card on your computer and then reload it. This is supposed to help out. I don't have one (have one on the way) but I'm going to try that first before doing anything.

Check it out and let me know how it works. Hopefully it helps out.

nice call. i do have a 16gb sandisk in it. i'll try to format it on my comp and see what it does. thanks.
