Random shutdowns - something new

This describes some the issues I'm having with my Nexus 4. Some call it the sleep of death which pretty much sums it up. Randomly it just doesn't turn back on. Have to press power and volume up to reset it.

I tried clearing the cache and that didn't work. So I went a uninstalled the Hangouts updates. And then reinstalled them. And I have not had a shut down in two days. Not sure if that do it or not.

Now I don't get any notifications from any of my apps...
