Rapid Charge vs. Slow

I need an opinion. I have one rapid charger. I'm planning on carrying that one with me when I'm on the move so if I screw up and run short I can boost the battery in a hurry.

At home, I have a plethora of charging plugs and I've ordered USB 3.1 to USB-C cables. I can have one by my bed, one on the desk and one in the kitchen if I want and slow charge my phone at night.

Is this a good plan or are there problems?

I've been doing the exact same thing for a couple months now. No issues except that on a couple occasions I woke up to no charge at all. Not sure if I didn't plug it in properly before going to bed or it just chose to stop charging. Hasn't happened in a few weeks.

Sometimes when I plug in one of my old chargers with a USB cable to an adapter, I get a small icon in the notification bar that asked what I want the USB connection to do. It doesn't default to "charge".
