Rattle

Is anyone else hearing a terrible rattling sound when making phone calls? It's driving me nuts!

Rattling like something loose or more clicking/ticking type of sound? Try turning off NFC in settings and see if that fixes. Others found that helpful. Supposed to be fix included in the upcoming update I believe.

I haven't had any issues. I used 1.5k or more minutes a month. It varies from the handset, to speakerphone, and to the Bluetooth to the truck.

Zero issues.

I've determined that it's not really a rattle, but just distortion/crackling coming from the speakers at high volumes. It's at it's worst when on a call on speakerphone.

I run my earpiece at max volume usually (work is near a highway so if outside it is loud) and I have used speakerphone at max when doing stuff around the house. I haven't noticed anything w/ my 2 XL.

Do you have the two-year warranty with Google, and/or are you within your return window? If you are concerned, I recommend bringing it back and opting for a replacement. Keep us posted!

I definitely have this issue. It was a hissing, high frequency noise before yesterday's 8.1 update, now it is static and popping. Google refuses to acknowledge that this is an issue.
