Rattling sound around camera bar on Pixel 7 pro…

Hi everybody,

First time Pixel user here…

When I picked up or lightly shaked my Pixel 7 pro, I heard rattling noise coming out from the camera bar. Does anyone else experience this? Is it normal or my unit is defective? Can I live with this?…

Can people confirm please?

Yes, this was common on the P6P also. It's the optical camera lens moving.

Most phones do this now because they have optical image stabilization, the camera module moves to counter shake in a human hand to prevent blur and allow longer shutter speeds. When the camera isn't in use there is no power to it so it shakes around freely and creates a rattle like sound.

Kind of surprised by that to be honest, last few Samsung phones I've had rattle and numerous other phones as well.
