I also took a look at the RAZR in store today. The screen is better than the bionic, but I could still see a grid. It was not terrible, but the screen is no where near the quality of the Droid Charge. However, it is still pretty good.
The phone was very quick, it never lagged when I was playing with it The hardware is pretty top notch, with a few exceptions. Like Phil said in his review, it is WIDE. That is not a joke. Also, the volume rocker feels low-quality compared to the rest of the phone, which is odd.
Now, I do not know if anyone else reported this, but this demo unit had an issue. Every time I played with the camera, the phone rebooted or shut off. Every single time. This demo unit is only a few days old, and the hardware is already broken. At one point, it shut off and wouldn't turn back on! Not a good sign, but hopefully a fluke.
One last point. I popped out the SD card and found that it was a 16GB, but only Class 2. Class 2 is terrible! They did the same thing on the Droid Charge (but 32GB). You WILL run into issues using a class 2 card. I highly recommend putting your own card in, using at least class 6 or above.
