Really need help- MS Outlook and Nexus 5 and Companion link w Exchange

I have new Nexus 5 phone, MS Outlook through an exchange server in my office and I cant search my e mails. I could easily on BB.
How can I search e mails?
i have companion link but that lets me search my contacts, not my emails..
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
