Hi all,

I recently had my screen replaced and suspiciously the camera has stopped working - I get the warning: camera failed error. Tested using other apps and diagnostics (front camera is fine) and factory reset, cleared cache etc. I'm thinking they didn't connect something properly and/or damaged the camera module while fixing the screen.

I was wondering if anyone had replaced their own camera module before and whether or not it was worth it? My phone is not under warranty unfortunately.

Thanks in advance

Sorry haven't replace a camera only a lcd and digitizer.
From memory most camera's I think just clip in with a cable or are like the speakers were its pushed into a spot and the metal connects (not clicked in) to function. If your able to take it apart yourself it shouldnt be too hard to check. I think you should probably call up where you got it repaired and have a chat with them!

I got it fixed by following these steps:

1. Connect your device to your laptop using data cable
2. Go to folder: Computer\SAMSUNG-SGH-I747\Phone\Applidium Image Cache
3. Delete everything in this folder
4. Go to folder: Computer\SAMSUNG-SGH-I747\Phone\Android\data\com.sec.android.gallery3d\cache
5. Delete everything in this folder
6. Restart your phone
7. Camera works :)
