Reasonably fast 8" tablet

I don't use a tablet much. I do email, check blogs, read news, listen to music. Easy, right?

I have three tablets.
My oldest is a 2013 Google tablet. So outdated its barely functional. Not an option. But strangely the fastest of the bunch.
Next is an Amazon Fire 8". Only 2 years old or so. But so slowww! Apps take 30 seconds or more to load, streaming apps freeze. Even with a speed testes connection of 15mbps dl/9 mbps ul. It took longer for the speedtest app to load than it did to run the test.plus its Amazon, so not a good fit for my Android based everything. Storage is 6.7gb free if 12.8gb available.

Newest is a Lenovo Tab3-850. Slowest of the bunch. Most apps take a full minute to load, and response time is slow on most apps. Even after factory reset and just a few apps loaded, still slow.

All this is to say I really want a tablet that just does simple things in a reasonable time, like 5-10 second load time, and normal streaming.

Does that exist?

I got my daughter a Lenovo Tab 4 8, which is actually pretty good. She's had it for a while, and it hasn't slowed down significantly. I wouldn't use it for any hardcore gaming, but it generally plays games like Minecraft pretty well.

Huawei MediaPad M3 - it is old but still runs great for me, no slowdown yet.

Or get the newer Huawei MediaPad M5 - great deals from time to time on Newegg or via AliExpress/GearBest/Banggood etc.

I managed to get a great deal on the Huawei T3 8!
16 GB Storage is a bummer, but I managed to have all the apps I want on it.
I havent used any hardcore game son it. I mainly use it for streaming movies and Youtube, catchup TV etc.
Its really good. Fast (not lightning), and a great deal for the price I bought it for!
