I have an odd problem. My Droid Incredible sometimes reboots while in a call. No rhyme or reason, it seems. Just be talking and suddenly - "DROID".

Anybody else have this happen? What's going on?

Thanks for your help.

The phone has been know to reboot if it starts to overheat. Could that be it? Is the phone very warm when it reboots?

Also are you running stock or a custom ROM?

Often the phone is not hot when it reboots. In fact, I have tried shutting off the phone for a while before making a call and waiting for the boot cycle to end, but that doesn't help.

I don't know if I am running a custom ROM. I think that's your answer: I'm not. :) I've never rooted the phone, but I am using an SD micro card (8gig) that I bought almost two years ago.

Thanks for your help.

Battery may be need to be replaced - I'd try a different one and see if the problem goes away. If not, then it's most likely software. You could try wiping cache, data, etc. out of existing apps, uninstalling anything you don't use on a regular basis, and/or moving apps to the sd card to help free up space. If it looks to be more software-related, the best thing you can do is a full factory reset but not everyone is comfortable with doing that

Thanks. I bought a new battery in hopes of that being the problem. (Took me so long because I didn't have power all week). Hopefully I won't have to do a factory reset. :)

Well, it is still rebooting while on a call with the new battery. Time to reset to factory settings. :-(

Thanks for all your help.
