Recent Apps Button Only Showing Samsung Apps

Anyone notice after the March (AVC8) update that the lower left button no longer works for multiasking?

For my Unlocked Verizon S22 Ultra it only seems to populate random Samsung only apps, no third party or other non-Samsung apps show along the bottom. (show recommended apps feature)

I'm not referring to the actual open tabs, just the horizontal list of apps. Very odd and frustrating. Thoughts?
 
That and wiping the partition. Are you having a problem he same issue?
 
I was trying it out and mine does the same for the recent apps. It shows the stock apps , but when I hit the the box it goes to split screen and that's when the actual real recents come up. I turn off that recents so I don't know when this started.

I thank you for the suggestions. I've attempted everything as outlined on the following thread, minus the factory reset: https://mobileinternist.com/recent-apps-button-not-working-android#2

Consider yourself lucky as you've been spared this bug. Myself, along with many others have this issue. Out of curiosity have you updated your phone? Wondering how you have gotten by, but countless others haven't?

I was referred to this post but this is what my Verizon S21 ultra is doing after the update my recents stay loaded with the same 4 apps and I can't figure out why and it's annoying as can be

Absolutely.
I would clear data then force stop the Samsung launcher, go to settings>apps >One UI launcher tap>storage clear data and force stop this will make your home screen back to default if you set it up .

Sounds like the bug persisted into the S21 series as well. I understand your frustration and hope a solution is on its way. This is a great forum for help. If I learn anything I'll be sure to share!
 
Before u do that go to settings>apps>system app>3 buttons navigation and clear data force stop
