Recent Apps Button Only Showing Samsung Apps

Seems to have settled down now after a few days use. Does it learn from your usage pattern as to what an when to keep in Recent Apps favouring those you spend more time actively using over those you quickly open and close?

i was reading on a samsung thread that "it takes time to learn" and that it "wasnt a bug but a feature" i'm just glad its being rectified.

so glad i found this thread. got the Galaxy A71 and only got the Android 12 One UI 4.1 update yesterday. was on Android 11 One UI 3.0

after the update, i had the same issue with the recent apps. only showing samsung apps. 24hrs after i have noticed that the recent apps are no longer showing samsung apps but 3rd party apps. thing is its still random and not the actually apps i jus recently used.

so now that i see an update for home launcher, i will try to see if it rectifies my issue completely.

i use Nice Lock (Good Lock alternative) but no other launchers per say.

why every time there is a major update, something is broken. atleast they didnt take long to fix this one. (i still cant get EdgeLighting + back and i miss that so much)

(jus checking the version of Home Launcher that Mustang posted. i already have that version. so mayb it jus needs time to adjust itself for my issue to be fully solved.)

and i am very very sad and upset with that fact. my midrange A71 does not get some of the options the flagships have, so i was using edge lighting + to obtain those additional options.

why do companies just kill off what is working good for people.

update to the update, my phone received a security patch update this morning, dated April 1st. i just installed not thinking much, probably saying to myself what else will this update break. surprisingly it seems to have fixed my issue with "recent apps" the 4 options at the bottom still seem random but the apps in the list are now actually what i recently used, so i am happy with that one.

now i jus need to find a way to get back individual colour notifications for different apps. one step at a time i guess. (UPDATE !!! so i went to notifications where the option is found and i changed the colour setting from a specific colour/random to the "auto" option and now i am seeing some apps notifications showing up in the colour their were before. the thing is there was an option within that same area which allowed for choosing a colour per app, that is no longer there. i know some apps allow to choose a specific colour from within their own settings but not all apps have that. i will continue to see how this shapes up.

If you are talking about picking a different color with edge lighting they took that option away awhile ago. I believe it changed with android 12.

yes, i know they took it away but is there no alternative? no other way to do it? so if the app doesnt have the option within, then we jus stuck with no options??? that seems like going against the customization that is Android.

I have that and used it a couple times on my 21. Does it drain your battery more? I have edge lighting set up for now.
