Recent Apps Button Only Showing Samsung Apps

Before u do that go to settings>apps>system app>3 buttons navigation and clear data force stop

Ahhh, thanks for that tip. However, I gave it the ole college try to no avail. I'm dreading clearing the data on the One UI because I've read where others have tried and it did not work. Hate to have to set back up all my home screens.

Clearing data on the one ui home screen didn't work for me so I had to set my home screen and app drawer up again so letting you know before you go through the trouble

Thankfully it's only my recent apps that are affected by the bug so far anyway my 512 gb phantom white is saying loaded on delivery vehicle that's ups was shipped yesterday via 2 day delivery but rescheduled for today by ups so today or tomorrow normally says out for delivery after loaded on delivery vehicle but remains the same since 7:30 am go figure

Ok we can hold off on One UI launcher reset , but we can try settings>general management>Reset>reset settings

That was my fear and thank you for confirming. Sadly at this stage I'm just hopeful the Samsung Team knows about the bug so it's included in a future update.

I believe I now what you mean. First, those button on the bottom on mine are reversed; however, if I open a doc, then click on the right square I can then to into a split screen. This example is Google's phone app at the top/Wiki page in Firefox on the bottom.

I used Good Lock to change the buttons to the small ones as shown.

And I am on the latest software.

There is another large thread about this over on the Samsung forum. Seems like this bug is across all galaxy devices including the Fold series. Hope Samsung pushes an update soon!

Happened on my a52 as well afywr a recent update, and I believe it's just Samsung. I called tech support and they couldn't figure out what caused it.
For now, Samsung hopefully will have a fix for this in their next update

Yes, I have the same problem since the March update and it has been driving me crazy. Relieved I'm not the only one. My suspicion is that Samsung purposefully changed this feature to promote their system apps. That bottom row of suggested apps used to be apps that I regularly and recently used (the circled apps). Not anymore. I think the only fix will be if Samsung changes it. And probably the only way they will make the change to what it was before is if enough of us complain on the Samsung forum.

I have personally turned those apps recently used at the bottom off but I wonder if issue with a theme you guys using causing this from screenshots I seen .

It's not the them because I don't use themes and it still happens for me. I also thought it was because I use Nova , but that wasn't it either because it did the same on One UI.

You can have a favorite or recent app set up by utilizing the vertical app menu feature in Good Lock.
Turn on "apps list" in "Home Screen"
Your favorites will be made available at the top.
Very convenient

There's a update to stock launcher in galaxy store that fixes recent apps and working as it should.
