Recent News on TB Causing Once Lovers now Going to Different Phone?

i have had my i*hone 3G for 2 1/2 years, so it has been this long, an extra week or 2 of waiting wont hurt. I dont want ATT, and Sprint is meh...

Honestly, the phone I really want is one of the quad core or second gen dual core phones at the end of the year with Ice Cream (and with apps that will take advantage of multicore). The only way I'm going to get one of those in a timely manner is if I get this phone on 1-year. That alone is enough to make me not consider waiting for any phone upcoming. Add that to the fact that Motorola has basically flipped the bird to the consumer base that got them out of their rut (the geeks, especially the ones who root), and the Bionic isn't a phone I'd consider under almost any circumstance (unless I had no other choice).

I can certainly understand why some people might want to wait for the Bionic, but I think they're going to be disappointed (or, at the very least, not know that they gained very little for their extended wait) in the performance. Heck, dual core on the desktop took over a year to become viable with the exception of multitasking... which a phone will not do to the same extent a desktop does.

But in any case, you know we live in some exciting times when every 6 months something almost revolutionary is set to come out. There's no real wrong choices anymore... well, unless you're going to AT&T. >_>

let me clarify, if someone got the wrong message. i am definitely not holding out for bionic. i will always (bar something groundbreaking) be a big HTC supporter, just not this one. i will actually probably wait until dual core "Tbolt" from HTC. i do not mind getting the xoom from moto since it is stock OS.

The delay cost Verizon 4 lines. Moved over to AT&T for the Atrix, because my phone was literally not functioning, and with no ETA on the Thunderbolt I just gave up. I might take advantage of my return window if the Thunderbolt comes out soon, but the fact that no one has review units, no firm date, no real knowledge, I'm done. I need a working phone.

I was in the same position, I needed a working phone where mine was doneskies.. So i just got a replacement under warranty. Had I not been in warranty who knows what I would have done but I agree Verizon needs to launch this thing now.

Looks like I may be out if here is no announcement this week. Went to pick up an iPhone 4 and th manager said the TB would be out on the 14th. I'm tired of waiting and it seems like this may be a flawed device anyhow the way the are dropping features (Skype) and delaying the release. iPhone may be boring,but it's available and works.

I'm pretty sure I am officially giving up on the T-Bolt tomorrow and just getting an Iphone 4. I am beyond sick of my OG Droid, ready to move on. It seems like the T-bolt is definitely being delayed until sometime in March and I refuse to wait any longer. I guess it's just meant to be that way. My main reason for not going with an Iphone rite off the bat was because I prefer a bigger screen, love android and the message indicator is a big plus.. But the iphone also has alot of pros that I like so I think I am going to give it a shot. It sucks because I have had an upgrade since November and have patiently been waiting for the T-bolt but delay after delay has finally made me reach my boiling point.. If it some how comes out on the 24-28th of Feb I'll definitely buy it but I refuse to wait until March, this whole launch has become beyond frustrating and I am ready to just move on already. Btw I still may go with an Droid X I love the huge screen

if you jail break the IPhone it become a totally different phone. I see why apple doesn't like people to do it. I would wait a few more days for the TB.

If it was coming out in a few days thats not the problem, I have been content waiting until the 24th (ever since it got delayed earlier and did not come out on the 14th) but now alot of rumors are coming out that it is being delayed until the first or 2nd week of March which is total bs. Odds are I keep waiting (as ungodly frustrating as it is) but jeeeeez this is getting old lol.

I would advise all of you to wait for the 24th, possibly even the 28th before bailing on this. Locking yourself into an iPhone is bad enough. But what if you do that and it comes this week? Yeah you can return it. But seriously. Have some patience. Save yourself the.headache. See what this week brings.

Giving up when most signs point to this week...I'd say that's silly business.

I'm not getting that PoS no matter what, lmao. I don't see TOO many people here planning to get it but if there are people, sorry, but enjoy your outdated (and overall bad) phone.

I wouldn't diss the iphone that bad. And outdated. Alot of posters on here are gonna get the droid X or droid Inc if they bail on the TB. All these phones came out at the same time last year. I don't like mot blur so the droid x is a no no for me. I don't like the plastic the fascinate is made of. So i'll go iphone if i jump ship. Which im not planning on doing. If the TB gets pushed back to march, im done. Im not gonna keep waiting with this droid inc.

If I don't have a T-Bolt in my hands by the end of the month I may cross to the dark side and get an iPhone4. I had the first iPhone, hated AT&T and wasn't too crazy about the phone itself but I'm willing to use the 14 day return just to check the current model out.

My second line is due for an upgrade in the summer so I'm really not wasting my current early upgrade.

I didn't mean to imply jumping to an X or Inc would be a good idea either. I love my Inc. I want to make babies with it. But signing a contract on ANY phone that came out last year is a bad idea considering how tech moves. Especially after waiting so long for the Bolt. In four days it could be in hand.

If it isn't, then check other options. Impatience will really get the best of you. And you will be cursing yourself.
