Right now I still want the TBOLT, but may change when it comes out. If the price and data plan for the TBOLT are not at the right price.

I really like the Bionic, but don't really want to wait until it comes out and the OS optimized for it. So, I was planning on getting the TBolt on 1-yr contract to hold me over (depending on how Verizon prices it out). However, the longer it takes for the TBolt to come out, the closer it gets to the Bionic release, and thus less of a wait I'd have between the releases. In fact, when it was rumored that the TBolt would be out in March and the Bionic in April, I was resigned to just wait on the Bionic since there would be only 1-month between releases.

Everything I'm reading sounds like the phone rocks, but Verizon is going to be the problem. Verizon sets the pricing, Verizon determines which software goes on the phone, Verizon determines who can sell it, (in this case, BB) Verizon determines which cities get the LTE upgrades and when, (Enjoy that, I waited a while for 4G) and Verizon will determine contract lengths. For a T-Bolt with everything I have on my Evo, it would cost me $120+ a month on Verizon. I pay $80.00 before discounts on Sprint. I wish Sprint had the T-Bolt, but we'll be getting the Evo 2, which will be better than the T-Bolt and the story continues... Anyway, I keep reading about how BB is screwing up the TB launch, and it's not them. Hell, they have to get it from Verizon...Besides, BB gives you all your rebates in the store instead of waiting for a pre-paid debit card from VZW.

Blame Verizon, not BB, and most certainly not HTC.

A few things.

1) What are you getting on VZW that would cost you that much more than Sprint? I pay $10 a more, and wouldn't pay much more than that with LTE.

2) LTE is near big cities, which is where most of these buyers will come from. If they don't have LTE, they'll still have 3G. Verizon is also being incredibly aggressive with their LTE rollout.

3) Verizon no longer does mail-in rebates for devices more than $149. As of now, there is no good reason to choose Best Buy over a VZW store.

If I don't have a T-Bolt in my hands by the end of the month I may cross to the dark side and get an iPhone4. I had the first iPhone, hated AT&T and wasn't too crazy about the phone itself but I'm willing to use the 14 day return just to check the current model out.

My second line is due for an upgrade in the summer so I'm really not wasting my current early upgrade.

The 14 day return window at Verizon also includes a $70 restocking fee. My wife got the iPhone 4 on Saturday and that's what we were told at the Verizon Store.
