Recent update caused volume drop?

I could be imagining it but I feel like the volume for calls and notifications and whatnot has dropped recently. Notifications and sounds are generally about ok but need to be maxed but if there's any sort of background noise, I really struggle with calls. Has anyone else experienced something similar or am I just making it up? I'm running 6.0.1 on a nexus 5 if that makes any difference. Thanks

Moved to the N5 forum. Yes, this is a known issue--see here: [Update: fix coming soon] Nexus 5 users are encountering serious volume bugs after the July OTA. Supposedly, they've found the problem and will push a new update soon. My N5 still hasn't been updated for July, so I'm guessing they suspended the rollout midway through to fix this.

At this point I bet it will be rolled into the August update. Thankful it's not a hardware problem with my phone. Come on baby, hang together a little longer....
