Ya know, I'm not sure what I hate more about the One UI 7/Android 15 update, the fact that my device is ugly as **** now within the software appearance side of things, or the fact that my reception as basically been doo doo since the update. My device is almost unreliable at times, whereas before, it always worked.

I don't like the fact that they changed the data icons on my unlocked device from "LTE," to 4G. Awfully ironic how I have tons of issues now.

Are you on Android 15/ One UI 7? I'm on a factory unlocked device, but on T-Mobile for service.

Not sure why it changed. I've had many Samsung factory unlocked devices on T-Mobile, and they have always showed LTE. This is the first time I've ever encountered 4G appearing. LTE doesn't show up anymore.

Alright... At this point, my S21 Ultra is starting to become basically unusable. My device no longer works properly in places where I had ZERO issues basically before.

But it's awfully funny... I can take my Note 20 Ultra into the same areas and it works fine. It doesn't seem to matter what connection I have it on. To be honest, if I have it on 5G, it's even worse. It basically won't work.

This really pisses me off considering I just RE-PURCHASED the S21 Ultra after the one I had for years was damaged. If I would have known this was going to happen, I wouldn't have purchased it.

Looks like I'll be going back to my Note 20 Ultra which also has some issues, but fortunately, it actually works when I need it to.

I think it might be something with your phone, not any software update. I'm still using my S21 Ultra that I bought new when they first came out. It is running Android 15 and UI 7 and I am on T-Mobile.

I haven't noticed any new signal strength problems lately. However, I signed up for their beta test satellite service a few months ago. If the regular 5G signal is lost it automatically switches to satellite, so it may be doing that in the background and I just don't notice it. I have no reason to check the signal strength if everything is okay.

The satellite beta test is free for anyone until July, they don't have to be a T-Mobile customer. Click on the link below to sign up if you haven't already and see if that makes any difference.

I will look into it. The thing is... I never had any of these issues ever before the update and always had very strong cell reception
