Reconsidering the TB for a different phone? Here's a few comparisons.

I would only reconsider for a different LTE phone, but BMX said they all suffer from similar battery issues.

the LG phone would be my first choice if not the Bionic

same here, the Lg looks pretty good.

The only reason i would consider a bionic is bc i'm curious what kind of games the dual cores will get.

First off, thanks for the merge, Cory! Now go do a podcast or something, lol.

@htowngtr / @zero neck: Which LG phone are you talking about; the Optimus 3D?

The Revolution is probably one of the only phones I'm *really* excited for right now. My excitement for the Tbolt has kind of wained the longer we've gone without a release. But, I'm sure I'll end up getting it. :p

I would have to agree my excitement has dwindle down to I need a phone. However being techie and having particular criteria for my next smartphone does help. Even worse the fact that I have had the G1 and as been my only android phone.

The tier data plan and no release date about pushing me to try find another phone but then shut down by either not able to get a 1 year contract or find comprise my in picking up an outdated phone.

P.S
The price phone is going to be the ultimate deal breaker the $300 is not worth any phone on a contract.

what makes the bionic have the html-5 capabilities? is this due to the dual cores? (can the xoom also run html-5 for that matter?)

i thought all android browsers were alike (unless if you go with a 3rd party like dolphin etc). shouldnt the tbolt be able to run html-5 too?

i know on pc's that html-5 is a processor hogger. even if tbolt cant run html-5 i wont be upset, just want to know what else the moto has that gives it that bullet point.

so according to the rep in this video, the tbolt does do html5 (i didnt say it- only the messenger):

One thing to keep in mind about the higher price of this phone is that it's coming with a 32G SD Card. A $100-$200 price for one of these cards at retail. Okay... make the phone $500 like most other phone prices with these specs and put a 16G card in it instead.

On average $80

I am in the same boat. I want some lte goodness for my xoom and still really like my x. Battery life needs to be close to the x for it to be a keeper.
I really like everything about the thunderbolt except the battery. I had an incredible and compared to my droid x the battery was asstasstic. I have the 1950 mah battery now in my X and its amazing. I'm seriously considering the bionic now solely for battery reasons.

I don't want to have to Cary a spare battery. I don't mind buying an extended as long as it works with the stock battery cover. I just want to free wifi tether some 4g goodness to my Xoom but I don't want my phone to die before my Xoom dips below 90%
I actually dont want a 3d phone. How would that benefit me? Maybe if the GF decided to send me special pictures. Still lol, i don't think im ready for 3d phones.

Ive got to agree on this one...small screen 3d is totally gimmicky, and frankly, useless in my opinion. I would never use it.

anyone have any more detailed info on the TB screen vs. the iphone4 screen?
such as materials etc.

The actual thing keeping me from getting this phone is the 4.3" screen which is entirely to big IMO. Plus the numbers on the battery life aren't looking to hot.
