Recovery help!

Hey guys!

I'm following KSmithInNY's steps to root my phone and I'm stuck in the recovery step. I entered this in the terminal emulator: cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
and I got
cannot create /system/bin/flash_image

What does this mean?

Solved. It was an error in the typing of the commands.
