Refused purchase of Note 7 at Verizon Corporate Store

I had a very opposite experience. I went in to a corp. store about 3:00pm. Checked in and said I wanted a Note 7 in Blue. The clerk offered to check stock and came back and told me they had more than people in front of me. When my turn came they had all ready pulled the phone and after seeing that I was on month to month as my last 2 year data contract was up and that I didn't owe anything on any phone the sold me the phone without having to upgrade my old plan and without having to have another 2 year data plan contract. Walked out with my activated phone, waver of connect charge, and my old plan lower monthly equipment charge. It was such a drastic change from all of my years of dealing with Verizon store employees I was convinced I had walked into the Twilight Zone :p

At my local T- mobile, it was just the opposite: They refuse to sell if it's an upgrade, they sell them only to new activations. Fortunately, I got mine from an eBay dealer.

I did a Jump on Demand on Friday to get mine at T-Mobile store, no problems.

The Note 7 is in tight supply, so seems like they are trying to optimize what they sell to suit them.
