Regarding factory reset

Hi guys, l am using galaxy s4 i9500. Recently, l updated my phone to 4.3 jellybean version. If l do a 'factory reset', will the update too be gone...?? To the older version 4.2 version...?? If so, can l update it later ? Please help.
