Remote Issue / constant dying

Anyone else experiencing issues with the remote on the new Shield? Mine was DOA on arrival and thus I had to buy new batteries for it. Just a week later and the batteries are dead again (measured with volt meter). Anyone else experiencing the same? I thought these were suppose to last a year. Waiting to hear back from Nvidia.

Mine works ok. Better send it back..they'll send a replacement...

Thanks, they just issued the RMA today. Was just trying to gauge if this was a wide spread issue of if I just got a dud. Hopefully the new unit works as designed.

My remote with the new Shield is kind of glitchy as well as in, its not always 100% responsive. For instance, scrolling through menu's hitting up/down/left/right on the circular button, doesnt always work. Anyone else seeing that? It's not dead and it works...just not as well as the controller...the controller is awesome, I just don't want to use the controller for everything.

Just got my Shield on Friday and spent the weekend setting it up and testing it out. Like Rob, I am experiencing some glitches and delayed responses from my remote as well and don't want to use it for everything (who knows when it will eventually die and stop recharging). The controller seems to work better so far and is great. The unresponsiveness is further exasperated by some of the android apps (particularly games) not being totally port-friendly from their original source (phone, tablet) but I've only seen this with one or two that I've tried so far. Right now, everything else seems awesome and I am happy with my purchase!
