Remove Sprint Zone

I am running v9 - rooted - w/nandroid and Stock Rom, and I have removed sprint zone with titanium backup but it seems to keep coming back.
I have an app under applications called sprint installer, does this have something to do with it? can this be removed?

Any ideas or better method of removal?

Get rid of Sprint Installer, it re-downloads Sprint Zones.

My bad.... But The installer has come back after a reboot of the phone.... I removed it again before it got to download the sprint zone, but still came back.

Try doing this in an ADB shell (this uses Android's built-in package manager to remove it):

# pm uninstall com.sprint.dsa

EDIT: sorry thought you were still talking about Sprint Zone. Try this:

# pm uninstall com.sprint.ce.updater

The reason why this is needed is that it completely removes the specific package from the database, not just the filesystem.

Use Titanium. It does the pm uninstalls behind the scenes.

The naming of the files can be confusing

Sprint Installer
/system/app/Sprint_Installer.apk
com.sprint.ce.updater

Sprint ID
/system/app/W_Installer.apk
com.sprint.w.installer

Sprint Zone
/system/app/SprintZone.apk
com.sprint.dsa

Seems like it has worked this time. Had to use adb on my work pc (XP 32 bit) as the windows 7 (x64) jdk download seems to be broken? anyone have a mirror site for this?

*EDIT: site working got JDK for win 7.

Also the last sprint apk file i see now is SprintHiddenMenu.apk /odex , What is this file for?

It implements some of the ## codes. I wouldn't get rid of it.
