remove the time clock & search bar on main screen

turned on my older android phones today and man do I miss being able to completely customize my main screen.

What's up with google forcing the clock and the search bard on our main screen?

Is there a way to remove them without 3rd party apps/ launchers?

Well, technically what you're seeing is just a launcher, so I don't think there should really be any problem getting another.

But to answer your question, no, I don't think you can.

I agree with you. I already have Chrome set to my browser and if I want to search for something I'll start up Chrome. Likewise I already have the current date and time in the home screen weather widget that I use. I don't need it display twice. It's a waste of space
