Removing scratches from the kickstand

Thanks to HTC's horrible decision in placement of the stand(aka right where the phone rests), my kickstand has developed some scratches. I know their is a solution I can probably use to get rid of the scratches but not sure exactly what it is.

Any anyone knows or has any ideas how to get the scratches off, please post.

Dropped my phone a couple days ago while getting out of my car. Only scratch was on the kickstand (no case). Was the last place i thought would get scratched. Doesn't bother me much but I guess it would be nice if there was an easy fix.

I don't think you will be able to remove scratches

rubbing/polishing compound, find it at any hardware store. I haven't used it myself, but it's what is used to buff scratches out of metal.

This would actually remove the brushed finish.

Yep! This is the same thing the watch guys use to restore the brushed finish on high end watches.

Try Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish. I use it for all the metal on my pinball machines. Make sure you polish with the grain.
