Repairing my LG L3 phone

Suddenly, my wonderful LG G3 phone died. I used it faithfully for 3 years. The screen got very hot and it died. I brought in for servicing and was told the motherboard burned out. I love this phone. Can it be repaired? Do phones usually last only 3 years? The serviceman refused to fix it. I don't want a new phone but this one: I even purchased 3 extra batteries for it.

I would say buy a used one on eBay if you are in the USA. Otherwise it might be time to upgrade. Sorry about the motherboard burning out on your current LG G3.
