Repeat callers is not working when my phone is on DND

I have my phone set to allow repeat callers through when it's on DND but it's not working. I tested it out several times from my home phone and also had someone else try calling multiple times. My phone didn't ring and only showed missed calls when I turned it on again. So, the phone is receiving the calls, but not letting them through like it's supposed to. I really want people to be able to reach me if it's urgent so I really would like this feature to work on my phone. I can't figure out if it's a software issue or if there is some other setting that is overriding it?

It is a Unimax U683CL
Android 8.1.0

Hi Jennifer , that was fast another issue
Sometimes DND can be glitchy try going into settings then apps find DND if it's not there go to top 3 dots then system apps and find there clear data ,cache and force stop it.
