Replace Sense Theme Without Rooting?

Hey guys, it looks like I'm gonna be stuck with my new EVO. I still have a few days to swap it but am not close to a Target that has the mobile store (Radioshack kiosk) in it (on vacation). And since I don't think a Radioshack store would help me out I guess what's done is done.

So, any way to change the themeing without rooting?

get GO Launcher EX from the market. it's pretty good. and a ton better than sense.

My vote goes to Launcher Pro. No need to root for any of the choices.

Does the Go launcher actually put sense to "sleep" or is it just a themer?

I'm getting pretty irate with the sense reboots since the GB update. I am certainly willing to root, but NOT flash any roms.

I'm not sure still new so I don't know the ins and outs of this thing but I will say this.. I before go launcher my evo would have been hurled out of a window of car while doing 80mph on the freeway.. After... It's much more enjoyable

The way a launcher app works is just like if you were to use a thirsting party browser. When you start your phone, the phone recognizes another launcher app and asks you which one you want to use. Once you select it, the other app just sita on your phone but is not active. Your phone can only din .one launcher at a time. So while the HTC Sense will still be on your phone, it won't be running in the background. I hope this answerable your question.

It puts sense to sleep if you make GO the default launcher
