replaced the lens on my htc desire 610 but when the phone turns on there is nothing on the screen

my lens on my htc desire 610 was damaged and my husband has followed online instructions on how to replace the lens. when turning the phone on now it makes sounds (ie. notifications being received) but nothing is visible on the actual screen.

Ensure the digitizer ribbon is properly secured. It's possible the ribbon was damaged during the repair if you have ensured all connections are properly secured.
